September Fiordland Packs Newsletter

23 September 2021 - David Cary

Hello kind people.

It has been a year on this journey. Thanks for your support through the ups and downs of starting a new business. For a long time it did not seem to be happening and the change from Empty Packs to Fiordland Packs was a fairly bleak time.

Looking back, it was a good move. Even with lockdown, Fiordland Packs has become quite busy. My original goal was 3 packs a week and that is now a pleasant memory. It is some time since I had any time away.

Yesterday I paused checkout on my web shop. I will resume taking orders on 1 November. The wait time has been stretching out and I will be in Dusky Sound part of next month on a conservation trip. The pressure is on to get it all done before I leave.

My packs continue to improve incrementally. I am now making things I never thought I would be able to. The neural pathways are developing and who knows where it will go in the next year.

The one thing we can be certain of is the wonderful environment in which we live. Please do something outdoors when you are able and if possible try to give something back.

Thanks again for your support.

David
