For the winter I have been working on a light packable swim bag for the long packraftineering trips I am so fond of. I think it is now finally ready for production.
I started with 5 oz DCF Hybrid but am now using X-Pac V15 laminate, in the future I may change to X-Pac VX21 for the side panels and Liteskin LS07 for the face.
The bag weighs 56 grams or less than 2 oz and measures 18-20cm x 11cm x 6cm, which I find very functional yet intentionally limiting. Too much stuff and it becomes a burden, put it in your pack instead.
I can comfortably fit a PLB, GPS, Packraft repair kit, lighter, emergency blanket with some inner tube to act as an emergency firelighter, with space left for a phone and some Whitakers chocolate or a small bag of cashews.
It is sewn using a rubberised water resistant zip and waterproof fabric, I decided not to seal the seams as the zip is never going to be 100% waterproof, It is very water resistant.
